RunSync help guide

How to generate a running workout with AI

AI workout generation helps eligible paid users draft a structured running workout from a short prompt. The generated workout is a preview first, and you decide whether to accept it.

Start in Run Builder

Open Run Builder while signed in to an eligible paid account, then choose Generate with AI.

During rollout and production testing, AI generation may be available only to selected eligible paid accounts.

Write a useful prompt

Describe the type of running workout you want, such as easy running, threshold intervals, kilometre repeats, strides, or a long-run structure.

Include practical details like total duration, work and recovery lengths, distance targets, and preferred pace guidance where relevant.

Review before accepting

RunSync shows the generated workout as an unsaved preview with sections, durations, and pace targets where available.

AI-generated workouts can be wrong. Review the structure and intensity before accepting the preview.

Accepting the preview only loads it into Run Builder. Saving, scheduling, and Garmin sync remain separate actions that you choose afterwards.

Quota and availability

AI workout generation has a monthly quota by plan and the remaining count is shown in RunSync when the feature is available.

A successful preview consumes quota. Provider timeouts, provider failures, invalid output, and validation failures do not consume quota because no usable preview was delivered.

If generation is unavailable, try again later or build the workout manually in Run Builder.
