Strength training is easier to stick with when the session is already planned and ready to follow.

That is exactly what Strength Builder is designed to do: create a structured strength workout in RunSync, send it to Garmin, and have the session ready on your watch when you get to the gym.

And now Strength Builder is available on the RunSync Free tier.

Free users can build workouts, start from ready-made templates and send up to three strength workouts to Garmin every month.

Build a strength workout and send it to Garmin

Strength Builder lets you create a complete gym session in RunSync and send it to Garmin so it is ready when you are.

Instead of trying to remember exercises, sets, reps, weights and rest periods in the gym, you can plan the session beforehand and follow it from your watch.

A workout might include:

  • Barbell Squat — 3 × 5
  • Romanian Deadlift — 3 × 8
  • Bulgarian Split Squat — 3 × 10
  • Calf Raise — 3 × 12
  • Rest periods between each set

Build the workout in RunSync, review it, send it to Garmin and take it with you.

You do not need to save a workout before sending it either. That means Free users can create the session they need and send it directly to Garmin without having to build a workout library first.

Start with a strength template

You do not have to begin with an empty workout.

Strength Builder includes a growing library of ready-made templates covering different training styles, equipment and goals.

You can find sessions such as:

  • Push, pull and leg workouts
  • Full-body workouts
  • Dumbbell and barbell workouts
  • Runner-focused strength sessions
  • Popular strength training formats

Choose a template, then adjust the exercises, sets, reps, weights or rest periods to suit your training.

Free members get a selection of practical starter templates, including workouts designed specifically with runners in mind.

Run and Complete members unlock the full manual Strength Builder template library.

The idea is simple: start with something useful, customise it and get training.

What you can do on the Free tier

With a free RunSync account, you can:

  • Open Strength Builder
  • Build and edit strength workouts
  • Use the basic strength template library
  • Send up to three strength workouts to Garmin each month

That gives you the complete:

build → Garmin → workout

experience before you decide whether you need more.

What do the paid plans add?

The paid plans expand what you can do with Strength Builder rather than hiding the builder itself behind a subscription.

Run

Run members get the full manual Strength Builder experience.

That includes:

  • Save and reuse strength workouts
  • Access the full manual strength template library
  • Three strength Garmin syncs per month

Run is a good fit if strength training complements your running and you want to create, save and reuse your own sessions alongside your run training.

Complete

Complete is for runners who want RunSync to support both their running and strength training as part of a more structured training system.

It includes:

  • Unlimited Strength Builder Garmin syncs
  • Saved and reusable strength workouts
  • The full strength template library
  • RunStrong programmes
  • Automatic strength progression
  • Advanced programme features
  • Calendar scheduling
  • Automatic Garmin sync

Instead of simply building individual strength sessions, Complete can help you organise and progress your strength training alongside your running.

Built for runners who lift

Strength Builder has been designed around a simple idea:

make structured strength training easier to fit around your running.

That might mean:

  • A dedicated leg session
  • A short full-body workout
  • Runner-specific strength work
  • A push/pull/legs split
  • A structured strength programme alongside your weekly runs

You can decide what strength training looks like for you.

RunSync gives you the tools to build the session, structure every set and get it onto the Garmin device you already train with.

More templates are coming

The current Strength Builder library is only the starting point.

We will continue adding more:

  • Runner-focused strength sessions
  • Full-body workouts
  • Equipment-specific workouts
  • Dumbbell and barbell variations
  • Push, pull and leg sessions
  • Popular strength training formats

The goal is to make it easy to find a useful starting point whether you are adding one strength session to your running week or following a more structured strength programme.
